Now I get to do something I've always loved and that is swim nearly every day. The best part is that I get to swim every day while training your kids the ISR technique of self-rescue.
My family and I have lived in the Tricities for nearly seven years now. The minute we moved here from Nashville we knew we had just entered paradise. When we're not home schooling we're out and about geocaching.
All instructors are certified in infant and adult CPR and First Aid. In addition to those certifications ISR instructors go through a rigid process of recertification annually.

Over 10 years ago I saw a news program that featured Infant Swimming Resource. I was amazed at what I saw and wanted to have that for my young kids. Because no instructors were within 350 miles of me it just went to the back burner. But it never left my mind. The birth of child number 4 started the quest all over again. With the number of pools in our subdivision alone I just could not raise another child who didn't have the ISR self-rescue skills instilled.
But it wasn't just for my daughter that I was interested in ISR, it is was and is for all the kids who I see at pools and lakes in the Tri-cities area who could benefit from lessons. So, in the Spring of 2008 my kids and I packed up and moved to Ohio for six weeks to complete a ten-year dream.
